Great fun to play family!

Brilliant and entertaining

Minor issues issues that once existed were fixed some months ago, so Im finally updating my review. Love this game!

Great game!

Requires Facebook to open the app. No Facebook? Youre of luck. This is ios, wheres Game Center? Ridiculous.

Why force Facebook especially on iOS ?

Off the bat it’s a very good concept, it has the potential of being a really great game of word battle, but it’s full of annoying bugs. I upgraded to Premium after my first couple of games and expected that features would then be included, especially the chat. You just can’t have an interactive with NO chat! It should have it by default, like all the thinking man’s games have. Instead the chat has been sacrificed for a list of played words by both players, which is really an unnecessary and unacceptable feature, as a potentially weaker opponent has full access to your vocabulary or vice versa and it defeats the very idea of the game. Another lame and overthought aspect are these bombs, some genius cooked up. The idea is quite good when there’s a handful spread around. They expand your front of used letters to include more letters for you to leap from. But there are checkered boards or super cluttered boards which allow even an illiterate to win with a one syllable word providing he can cause a chain reaction. E.g. I won a game with just two words played? Now I’ve played WordFeud for 3+ years so this was a welcome addition to my kind of games, which require skill and thought and I enjoy it, make no mistake, but I write here because support have not replied to any of my three emails with complaints about bugs and suggestions, and that is really annoying because the game is obviously still just a beta version and the final and pivotal improvements or tweaks remain unresolved. As long as these few things are not addressed I suggest you save your money and wait, because the developers have for some reason decided not to clean up their act and make things right and remain unresponsive. It is especially embarrassing as Word Base was conceived by a danish crew and being I one myself. So on behalf of the danish people, this is not a typical development/situation and the game may have become the victim of a bad marriage of the three parties involved in it’s production. Of course I’m just speculating, due to past experiences of my own in the business, but there is some reason the game is not polished up and perfected.

Very minimalistic but extreme addictive game!

1. Deveria ter a opção de jogar em língua portuguesa, com ou sem inclusão ou diferenciação dos regionalizemos brasileiros em oposição ao português falado na Europa, África e Ásia. (Should have Portuguese as an option for playing, with or without inclusion or distinction between Brazil and Portugal/Africa/Asian regionalisms) 2. Precisa melhorar disponibilidade dos servidores q mantém o jogo online, ou criar/recorrer a algum tipo de solução, protocolo ou algoritmo, q permita q se mantenha o andamento de uma partido (em P2P talvez?!) mesmo c/ os servidores fora do ar. (Must tune up de availability of the game servers that keep the matches going on line, or else, create/use some kind of protocol or algorithm that solves this kind of problem, allowing the game to continue (in a P2P faction, maybe?) even with the backend servers offline. 3. Seria legal ter a opção de consultar (e aprender) diretamente de dentro do jogo o significado das palavras de qq um dos jogadores possivelmente através do mesmo dicionário usado pelo jogo p/ validar e aceitar a palavra. Would be very cool to have the option to consult a dictionary/thesaurus and learn the meaning of the words played during the game by any of the players. Possibly by the same dictionary used by the game to check and accept a word as a valid on. 4. E por último, uma opção q não sei exatamente como implementar: partidas c/ 4 jogadores simultâneos, isoladamente ou em times. And what about a 4 simultâneos players match/challenge? Isolated or in teams, but I dont know exactly how it would be implemented. Maybe with changes in the size or shape of the game playing field of letters.

Awesome but constantly freezes !!!! Error msg keeps appearing. Please fix!!!!

Great game however tends to freeze a lot and gives a cannot connect to server error message. Please fix!

One of the best multiplayer word games on the App Store

Do not like the option of two games! I understand one can upgrade to premium, but i dont want to upgrade. Therefore will I delete game!

Cant chat. Doesnt make sense. Could be cool. Has potential. Junk thus far

After downloading the game I was very excited. The game looks like it would be so much fun, only I wouldnt know because three days later the game still is saying cant connect to server. Im keeping the app for now hoping this issue will be resolved because I do think this game could be very fun and addicting. Hope this is fixed soon!!

Once completed this game will be one of my favorite. Too buggy at the moment.

This game could be really cool and challenging but I can never connect to the server even to resign games! Disappointing
